Get Stronger week .5
I am half way done with my first week. I volumed the squats (7x5) at 135lbs. This will give me a lot of space to increase weight, but it gave me time to think about stabilizing my core.....hard and tight, hard and tight (and that is where I giggle a little). Bench press was next on the docket and one thing I'm liking about the Cube is just upped my weight by 5lbs and hit it like I did a few weeks ago 140lbs (3x5). Every rep felt good and I am really hoping to get a PR in the next cycle. My bench has been stuck for more than 6 months.
On a different note, I LOVE playing around on the bars and rope. I would really like to get some monkey bars and a pole and I think I could come up with some really fun routines. But, for now I spend a lot of time swinging upside down with a big smile on my face.
Lastly, I haven't quite figured out what to do with the accessory moves. I was hoping to have a solid program ready to go on Monday. My main moves, with progressions are written out and ready to go, the accessory moves are kinda lagging.
So this is my life. My goal is to take my body to the limit of what I think it can do and then just fly past that to a place unimaginable. I need to stay injury free with a healthy mind and body. That is easier said than done.
