Sick Days

Shortly after returning home after walking Milo to school, I get the phone call asking me to pick up my Emerson.  This morning he wasn't feeling good and he looked really tired.  I wouldn't have sent him to school if he wasn't asking me to take him to the skatepark after school.  

As I was walking home this am, I was planning out my pre work morning and organizing my day accordingly.  Well all that fell apart.  I went to pick up my mini.  Was he sick?  I don't think so, but I do know that he had a very busy week and an even busier weekend.  There are days that I would like to call in sick just to relax.  I was happy to have him with me for the day and luckily he does well tagging along with me.  I even got him to help me clean the studio and we took a bit of a rest.  

Last night was a restless night for me and I was afraid I would be really tired.  But having my hyperactive mini hanging out with me today has been a great energy boost and we've had some much needed time alone.  The craziest part of all is how hard it is to schedule time alone with him and sick days are great excuse.  To hell with my schedule and to do list...just for today.
