Long Weekend
I spent the past weekend in San Diego at the Strength Matters Summit. I learned a lot, mainly about business, and brought home some motivation. But actually the highlight of my weekend was spending time with a friend I had not seen in a long time. It is such a hard balance between running a successful business and only doing the parts of the business that I enjoy. If you have been to a class, you know that teaching is what I love. I love the relationships that my classes have with each other and the relationships I have with all my classes. I hate the business side of the business.
I was sitting in a room with like minded trainers and learning some great information. But what really made this weekend different and harder was that I had to learn about my weaknesses. This weekend challenged me in a different way of thinking, both about my own life and my business. So skipping out a little early to walk along the coast in 70 degree weather talking to a friend as though no time had past brought the weekend back around. I have some new motivation but with the new ideas I realized that I am me and I love what I do. That needs to be my main focus. The business stuff...that is going to be where I become the student.
And I am also VERY tired :)
