Long Weekend
I spent the past weekend in San Diego at the Strength Matters Summit. I learned a lot, mainly about business, and brought home some motivation. But actually the highlight of my weekend was spending time with a friend I had not seen in a long time.
March Madness
I am not sure how a few weeks of not blogging turned into a few months. But I am back. The holidays came and went and we just finished up our Birthday season. It seemed like the holiday chaos took over and then the birthday chaos took over and now I am finally settling in.
Finished Week One
I am actually halfway through my second week, but I don't want to get ahead of myself. The first week was awesome. When I wrote my program, I was hoping for a 315lb 1RM on my conventional deadlift. When deadlift day came, I decided to set the goal for 325lbs.
Get Stronger week .5
I am half way done with my first week. I volumed the squats (7x5) at 135lbs. This will give me a lot of space to increase weight, but it gave me time to think about stabilizing my core.....hard and tight, hard and tight (and that is where I giggle a little).
Project: Get Stronger
I want to get stronger. In the next year, I would like to get to a 400lb deadlift, a 200lb bench press and a 300lb squat. At the moment these numbers seem so far away from anything I can attain. But they aren't.
Bench Training
Benching went well today. On my current program I am at a point where every work set for bench is a rep PR.
