Hiring A Coach

I train hard.  I don't lack motivation or drive when I hit the gym.  But life is stressful, raising kids is stressful, relationships are stressful and what if one bad day turned into a week and then turned into a month.  What if the maintenance of strength became a slow regression, my previous PR’s became a memory of the past.

The Right Kind of Mentor

I have a mentor in life that has been challenging my views of the world and helping me sort through all the bull shit in hopes of finding true relationships and true happiness.  And when we look for mentors, we want someone to challenge the everyday things and then give us strength in those really challenging moments.

I love my classes.  I love the people.  I love the environment.  I love the whole thing.  We spend so much time together and over the years we really get to know each other.  It doesn’t happen in a day or a week.

I am not sure how a few weeks of not blogging turned into a few months.  But I am back.  The holidays came and went and we just finished up our Birthday season.  It seemed like the holiday chaos took over and then the birthday chaos took over and now I am finally settling in.

Finished Week One

I am actually halfway through my second week, but I don't want to get ahead of myself.  The first week was awesome.  When I wrote my program, I was hoping for a 315lb 1RM on my conventional deadlift.  When deadlift day came, I decided to set the goal for 325lbs.
